HEIC to JPG — FAQs
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is Apple's default photo format on iPhones since iOS 11. It produces smaller file sizes than JPG at similar quality, which saves storage. However, most government and exam portals in India only accept JPG/JPEG, which is why conversion is needed.
On iPhone, go to Settings → Camera → Formats and switch to "Most Compatible" — this saves new photos as JPG directly. For existing HEIC photos: open the photo in the Photos app, tap Share → Save to Files, then transfer to your computer via USB, AirDrop, or iCloud Drive. Then upload the .heic file here.
